Founded by contemporary artist Kate Hughes, our art school and gallery is a welcoming place to discover inspiring artwork, develop new skills, connect with fellow artists and makers, and come together through a shared love of art.
We're passionate about championing local artists and hosting exhibitions that celebrate the wealth of creative talent in Hampshire and the surrounding area. Alongside the gallery, you'll find a vibrant programme of art classes and creative workshops led by Kate and a host of guest experts, all designed to inspire and develop creativity at every stage, from complete beginners to experienced artists.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Kate Hughes, hampshire based mixed media artist and teacher of creatives
Kate is a lifelong creative who has always experimented with different art forms and media, finally specialising in mixed media landscape painting after completing her degree in Fine Art from the prestigious West Dean College.
Based in the beautiful Hampshire countryside she takes inspiration from the wonderful scenery she is surrounded by, including country and coast. Kate is particularly drawn to the fluid movement and colours of her local vistas and this has very much shaped the distinctive style of her current work.
Alongside developing and exhibiting her own work, Kate is the founder of her namesake gallery and art school where, alongside a host of expert guest tutors, she offers creative classes and workshops designed to share techniques, materials, and processes in an open and accessible way.
From complete beginners to the experienced creative, all classes are designed to encourage experimentation, build confidence, and ignite creativity.
